The Father Son Team
The story of Auto Sense begins with Ken, whose automotive career started at just 12 years old when he asked for a toolbox instead of toys. By his teenage years, he was already working in local service stations, gaining hands-on experience and a deep respect for the trade. Over the next several decades, Ken built an exceptional career as a master technician, shop foreman, and service director.
He earned Master ASE Certification, L1 Advanced status, state inspection credentials, and numerous industry honors. In 1990, he opened Auto Sense with a simple goal: to provide automotive service the way it should be done—skillfully, ethically, and with integrity. His leadership helped establish Auto Sense as a trusted auto repair shop in Millersville and earned him recognition as an industry leader, including induction into the WMDA Hall of Fame.
Kenny’s path into the automotive industry followed a different route but ultimately led to the same commitment to quality service. After formal training in bodywork and paint and hands-on experience in a body shop, Kenny stepped in to help run the family business during challenging times. Over more than a decade, he developed expertise in customer service, sales, logistics, and shop operations. During the uncertainty of 2020, Kenny guided Auto Sense through one of its most difficult periods and eventually stepped into ownership, carrying forward the family legacy with modern leadership and a customer-first mindset.
Today, Kenny oversees the day-to-day operations of Auto Sense Auto Service Center, blending updated processes with the values the shop was built on. Ken remains an active mentor and supporter, proud of the direction the business continues to take. Together, their shared belief is simple: treat people fairly, fix cars the right way, and build relationships that last.
